CATI awarded contract for Air Traffic Control simulator upgrades

Daleville, Alabama – October 12, 2009

CATI Training Systems announced today that the PEO STRI has awarded its Daleville Operation a contract to replace projectors and upgrade the back projected screens for the Enhanced Tower Operations Simulator (ETOS) Air Traffic Control (ATC) training simulators at Ft. Rucker, AL. CATI will provide Christie Entero RPMSP–LED01 (SXGA+ 1400 x 1050) LED projector which is ideally suited for control room application. Christie Entero projector is virtually maintenance free with its LED technology offering extraordinarily long life, 24/7 reliability and demanding performance quality. CATI will also provide VistaPlex 80 (VPX 80) flow coated diffusion screen which is one of the finest available screen for rear screen diffusion technology. The VPX 80 rear screen is constructed of "rare earth" micro–alloy suspended in a proprietary mixture that is meticulously applied to acrylic substances of the finest optical quality. VPX 80 is a high-resolution, neutral white–pigmented rear projection screen, specifically formulated for use in simulation and side–by–side image-blending application.
